Supertape's rich text editor is used throughout the app for writing things like your artist bio, album credits, product details, and more. In order to get the most out of your text, there are just a few things you should know.
Formatting text
Basic text formatting works like other apps you may have used. Use the formatting options at the top of the text editor to add accents and to format your text. For example, to make something bold (B) or italic (I) just highlight the text you want to format then select the corresponding icon. Hit the button again to remove the formatting.
Linking text
With our editor, you can link any text to any URL or email address. Here's how:
- Highlight the text you'd like to link.
- Select the link button at the top of the text editor.
- Enter a URL or email address and hit the link button on the right.
Unlinking text
- Highlight the linked text you'd like to unlink.
- Select the link button at the top of the text editor.
- Hit the unlink button on the right.
Best practices
- Don't leave gaps above your first line of text - That way it'll render properly on your site.
- Don’t double return your paragraphs - For a new paragraph, make sure there’s only one gap before it. Double returns make paragraphs of text look bad when rendered on your site.
- Don’t paste in HTML - Our text-editor renders HTML as plain-text.
